Lunch at the Dominican Sisters of Saint Catherine of Sienna
From 10 to 14 October 2017, the Promoters of the Rosary of the Order were invited to meet with the Master of the Order at Fatima, to celebrate together the closure of the Centenary of the Apparitions. A small group of around twenty brothers, representing 15 provinces, got together. The mass opening the meeting was celebrated in the Chapel of the Apparitions on 11 October.
The Promoter General of the Rosary, bro. Louis-Marie Ariño-Durand, had organised a programme combining meetings, prayer and fraternal exchanges. The objective was a review of over ten years of Promotion of the Rosary for the Order and to see what can be envisaged for the immediate and long-term future. It was also the occasion to present his successor, bro. Christopher Eggleton, who is also Socius for the United States.
Most of the brothers stayed at the Pius XII monastery, with our nuns who gave them a marvellous welcome. Encounters with other members of the Dominican family were organised: mass with the brothers on the 12 and a festive meal on the 13 with the apostolic sisters.
All participants at these days were deeply touched by the fraternal attention of our Portuguese brothers and sisters.
What a beautiful fraternal encounter around Our Lady of the Rosary!
