No.342 - April 2010
Our theme for the year:
“Lord how to give you thanks?”
Such is the cry of joy which uplifts the believers on Eater night!
Why this ’truly’? One is risen, yes or no.
Then, why is this ’for real’ as children like to say?
Our Christian faith rests on the witness of those who saw the risen one (see John chapter 90) and they confirm that the risen Jesus is absolutely unique, different, in his resurrection as he is not going to die anymore, from Lazarus who exits the tomb after the prayer of Christ, the master of life.
It also affirms that he really died on the cross, in the face of those who refused to believe that a Saviour could die, suffer and endure the trials of life.
Yes, Jesus has truly lived like us!
He is truly our brother and our God.
And we rediscover the importance of Mary who gave birth to a son, like all mothers. God chose to truly come in human flesh, not like some theatrical personage or like someone from a children story, or again, like some kind of spirit which appears before disappearing!
He is truly man whilst being truly God.
Having come in the flesh, he enters into the glory so that we may follow him into glory.
And so, with Mary, truly mother of Jesus, mother of God and mother o f the Church, let us truly enter into the joy to rise with Jesus.
