What could save us if not love?

Getting close to Jesus is this not the desire of all Christians, but also of all those who believe that they are not worthy, not believing enough, not practising enough…? And yet… holiness does not mean perfection.

Holiness means love and humility. Holiness is God’s project for each and every one of us.

“The saints are the true reformers: it is only from the saints and from God that true revolution comes, the decisive change in the world.” (Benedict XVI, Cologne, 20 August 2005)

True revolution consists uniquely in our turning to God, who knows what is just and who is eternal love. What could save us if not love?
