All the versions of this article:

A poem composed by Enrico Monaci

“Light to enlighten the peoples”, that is the title
of the Infant Jesus, in his first bloodshed,
an anticipation and prefiguration of Passion.
Once again, messianic joy is not
the world’s joy, bewitching the senses but
requiring a sword to divide and reunite -
this is again

the old world of retribution; but especially
for contradictions and alterity to reach
a deeper stage of analogy and distinction,
and for justice to grow.
What could you think of, as a prophet and a Mother, beyond

the divine will, the solution to the war and peace of the soul?
