Editorial - November 2011 - N°359

During the month of November, these are often the same words which come to mind to speak about All Saints Day: blessed, the communion of saints, eternal life… Yes, in fact the feast of All Saints is all of this, but also “There was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages” (Rev 7, 9).

This huge crowd never tires to show gentleness, mercy, justice, joy and peace with the mediocre material of daily life. They have often lived in obscurity, ignored, anonymous, far from human celebrities and they are numerous who have shed their blood for their faith in the risen Jesus Christ.

The saints of Heaven envelope us in their fraternal charity and they act in our favor. To console his brothers at the time of leaving them, Saint Dominique told them: “Do not cry. I will be more useful to you after my death and I will help you more efficaciously than during my life”

Before the graves of our dear deceased, the prayer which springs from our mouth is often the Hail Mary. We tell Mary at the same time our faith and our pain, our questions and our hope, our praises for we do not want to abandon ourselves to the power of death.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead who have found true life with God.
